New Year, New Opportunities

Happy new year and welcome to 2021. We hope that you feel refreshed and are ready for any new challenges after an unforgettable year.

Here at ResortBrokers, we were back in full swing with everyone on deck last week and already all indications are that there are incredibly positive signs in the industry.

Our brokers right across Australia are reporting enquiry levels which are well above pre-COVID numbers, along with a genuine feeling of optimism and positivity for the year ahead.

I honestly believe a large part of this is because we’ve all adapted to the “new normal” and already we’re seeing that banks are open for business and lending again. We’ve also worked hard with our industry partners to find new ways of doing business and overcoming whatever challenges are placed in front of us.

Our deals are getting done and we’re finding that regional Australia has been leading the charge on the back of a massive surge in domestic tourism because of the international border closures.

The Hunter Valley provides a telling snapshot of this trend. This week we sold and settled on the Hunter Gateway Motel in Rutherford in a deal worth around $8.5 million and we’re also about to list the Francis Phillip Motor Inn at Singleton which may even surpass this sale price.

This is evidence of the fact that we have fully qualified buyers who are ready to invest and believe in the future of the accommodation industry.

Please feel free to get in touch with us at any stage and remember, we’re happy to provide free appraisals on your property if you’re thinking of selling, or even if you’re just curious about how you’re tracking.

Kind regards,

Trudy Crooks
