Heath Nixon

Specialist Accommodation Broker
Brisbane
"“Trust with business owners is built over time, not one meeting. I love helping people grow their businesses, rebalance their portfolios or take their first step into business ownership. I understand business performance metrics, balance sheets and what makes an accommodation asset worth buying, because I’ve built and sold businesses of my own.”"

Heath joined ResortBrokers’ Brisbane management rights team in 2026, bringing more than 22 years of business experience across the construction and property sectors in his native New Zealand.

Immediately prior to joining ResortBrokers, Heath headed Future Investments Limited, a property development firm he co-founded in 2006. Over 20 years with the business, he assessed, acquired and developed new builds, spec homes, house and land packages, modular and relocatable homes, renovations and commercial conversions. He personally managed the transaction process across 20 property deals totalling $30 million, coordinating agents, solicitors and accountants from offer through to settlement.

“I achieved financial literacy the hard way, by running businesses directly,” says Heath. “I understand business performance metrics, balance sheets and what makes an accommodation asset worth buying, because I’ve built and sold businesses of my own. At different times, I’ve been buyer or seller, so I know what it’s like to be on both sides of a transaction.”

Heath also has hands-on experience running a property day to day. For over a decade, he personally operated a building with a mix of commercial and residential tenants.

“I did the lot,” he says. “Everything from organising the cleaning, to handling the Wi-Fi and negotiating the leases. It’s given me an understanding of what it’s like to run a management and letting rights business.”

Heath’s business experience extends beyond property development. As Head of Sales for a high-end flooring company for seven years, he built and managed a portfolio of more than 20 client relationships, achieving more than $2 million in annual revenue. Prior to that, he was National Sales Manager for flooring supplier Pallmann South Pacific, where he doubled trade sales in his first six months.

Heath credits his success in business to building strong relationships with his clients, which he sees as an ongoing association whether a transaction is pending or not.

“Trust with business owners is built over months, not one meeting,” says Heath. “A good broker is someone who’s visible and genuinely useful to an operator whether there’s a live deal or not. That’s the type of relationship I like to have with my clients.

“If they choose me to transact their property, I’m hands-on end-to-end, coordinating agents, solicitors and accountants so nothing stalls between agreement and settlement. That’s the type of service I like to give my clients.”
