Boutique Port Douglas Hotel Changes Hands In Multi-million Dollar Deal

PROPERTY management rights to an exclusive adults-only resort in Port Douglas have been snapped up by for a seven figure sum by Mandala Asset Solutions.

The management rights for the Peninsula Boutique Hotel were put on the market with ResortBrokers in June for $6 million.

However, new owners wouldn’t disclose the exact sale price of the Four Mile Beach waterfront property.

ResortBrokers North Queensland specialist Chenoa Daniel said the exclusive listing attracted a high level of interest from experienced operators.

“The Peninsula is the epitome of luxury which is beachfront and is quite simply one of the best properties in Port Douglas and the region,” Ms Daniel said.

The management rights package for Port Douglas Peninsula Boutique Hotel comprised a 23-year letting and caretaking agreement.

Mandala Asset Solutions principal John Zeckendorf said the property was in keeping with the company’s proven strategy to invest in income-producing regional accommodation assets.

“It’s no secret we like high end properties,” he said.
