Hidden Valley Holiday Park leased to Lifestyle Village

CHANGES are coming to the popular Hidden Valley Holiday Park after it was leased for 25 years to a major national company.

In recent weeks the park was leased to Lifestyle Villages, which has a large portfolio of similar properties across Australia.

The park boasts a variety of accommodation options from cabins to caravan sites.

It also includes a cafe, pool and picnic areas.

Lifestyle Villages director Antony Wiesener said the company was thrilled to extend its reach to the Territory, with Hidden Valley Holiday Park posing a rare opportunity.

“The two of us (directors) love Darwin and we’ve always wanted a big park here,” he said.

“We want to provide great accommodation for the people of the Northern Territory and the many visitors going through it.

“Our intentions, in consultation with the owner, are to potentially build a new pool and make upgrades to the park.

“It’s a beautiful park, we love the topography. There’s room to expand and it’s close to the city which was a major selling point.”

Mr Wiesener was confident that once vaccination targets were hit Australia-wide the park and the NT would experience a significant increase in tourism.

“People want to head north and I think Darwin is an up and coming destination,” he said.

The property was brokered by ResortBrokers’ Kelli Crouch, who said she’d experienced an increased number of inquiries for similar parks.

“These parks are often located on prime real estate and also benefit from the fact that they can accommodate both the strong domestic tourism demand,” she said.
