Nathan Benjamin

Broker, Central Queensland
"It’s important to understand the cyclical nature of the area I cover. The accommodation market in towns like Gladstone and Rockhampton is very much affected by market forces. The price of coal, for instance, affects fly-in, fly-out workers who need accommodation in a mining town."

Nathan Benjamin has firmly established himself in his Central Queensland sales territory, covering Bundaberg, where he is based, Rockhampton, Gladstone, Emerald, Longreach and everywhere between.

Since joining ResortBrokers in 2021, Nathan has settled 12 sales of assets worth a combined value of more than $25 million.

His notable recent sales include the lease/passive investment of Saltbush Retreat in Longreach, the lease/passive investment of Biloela Palms Motor Inn, the freehold going concern of Harbour Sails Motor Inn and the leasehold of Highpoint International, both in Gladstone.

Nathan's success at ResortBrokers was acknowledged with a Best New Initiative Award for FY23.

Prior to ResortBrokers, Nathan worked in his family’s business, a marketing and PR agency specialising in agriculture. He also built and operated his own successful business in the social services sector.

Nathan’s understanding of small business combined with his natural ability to build and develop trusting relationships have laid the foundation for his early successes in Central Queensland. Understanding the unique nature of the region’s accommodation sector is also key, he says.

“It’s important to appreciate the cyclical nature of my area,” says Nathan. “The accommodation market in towns like Gladstone and Rockhampton is very much affected by market forces. The price of coal, for instance, affects fly-in, fly-out workers who need accommodation in a mining town. You need to know the fluctuations of this market to know it properly.”
