ResortBrokers’ Vanuatu broker, Neil Hamilton, is a veteran real estate professional with more than 36 years in the industry.

Neil operated his own real estate business in his native New Zealand for 25 years as part of First National Real Estate, one of Australasia’s largest real estate networks with over 300 offices throughout Australia, New Zealand and Vanuatu.

In 2003, he was invited to join New Zealand First National’s board of directors, a position he held for four years before serving as the board’s chairman for a further three years.

During his time on the board, Neil assisted in setting up First National’s first office in Vanuatu, in the capital Port Vila. He eventually sold his New Zealand business and bought the Post Vila business, which saw him take up residence in Vanuatu where he has been based since 2011.

Neil has also operated a successful investment consultancy business that assists local Ni-Vanuatu custom owners and potential investors set up commercial business operations in Vanuatu.

He recently facilitated Vanuatu’s largest single private investment when he assisted a local Ni-Vanuatu island community secure a US$5 million tourism operation with shipping company Royal Caribbean Group, the world’s second-largest cruise line operator.
